The Ice Artist
Percy Salazar (ex Ice Box) teamed up with Eskimo Ice late in 2004. Percy's CV is unmatched in the Ice Carving world and includes full size replica cars, life size elephant luges, whole rooms built from ice, as well as fantastic centre table pieces, corporate logos, ice bars and promotional ice sculptures and luges.
Eskimo Ice have a state of the art Ice Carving Studio (see below) in which Percy and his team carve their works of art.
Clemente Gava joined Eskimo Ice team early in 2007. Coming from the Hotel and Restaurant business as a Chef, Clemente proudly participated amongst a series of international culinary competitions. His speciality- besides cooking, included Vegetable Carving and Sculpting utilizing food materials such as margarine, cheese and chocolate.
Since this innovative artist collaborated with Percy and The Eskimo Ice Team, a new passion was discovered: Working with Ice.
Nowadays, Clemente is continuously looking to improve his style and skills. These characteristic abilities are achieved through working with advance technology in order to produce unique sculptures, and having a blast while doing it!
The Ice Studio
Our state of the art Ice Carving Studio is available for short term hire. It has both 240v and 110v power supply inside and is well equipped for photographic shoots. The temperature inside can be adjusted between -5C and -20C.
We also have a large freezer coldstore which measures 18 metres by 4 metres and is 7 metres high. Fantastic snow and ice scenes can be set in this space and the door is large enough to drive 4 x 4 vehicles through. This space is available for photographic, TV and film work.
